FEBRUARY - Valentines' Day Crossword

February 14 is Valentine's Day, named after a priest who lived during the third centuary in Rome, Italy. Legend has it that the Emperor declared that marriage was illegal for young men because he thought single men became better soldiers. The priest Valentine believed this was unjust, and so he performed marriage ceremonies in secret. When the Emperor found out, he ordered Valentine be put to death but today we celebrate the priest's romantic ideals by making time to show the people we love that we care about them.
