Arriving

student_airportAttendee arrival procedure

Attendees will be met after clearing customs by their guide who will be wearing a greenspeak t-shirt, a lanyard with id tag, and holding a sign. They will then wait for other attendees, before proceeding to the bus. In the case of late or early arrivals, another greespeak staff member may pick up attendees in a car, and transport them to meet the rest of the group. They will be transported to the hotel, and assigned rooms.

Clearing immigration and customs

You should should have your Passport with a valid visa (if required) and their Incoming Passenger Card correctly filled in when arriving in your host country.

Due to the strict customs laws of the countries that we operate in, particularly Australia and New Zealand, it is strongly recommended that attendees do not bring any food items with them from home, as it will need to be declared upon arrival in the country and is likely to be confiscated.  Trained sniffer dogs operate in many airports and baggage x-ray is regular practice to ensure that prohibited items are not being carried, so please do not put any food items in either carry-on luggage or checked luggage. On the spot fines can also be imposed as well as prosecution for those caught bringing prohibited items into certain countries.  Please refer to the Customs and Immigration Websites of your host country if unsure.Orientation

At each restaurant there will be a number of options available for food and drinks. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please make sure they are listed in your registration form. During free time, staff will direct you to a number of good restaurants, take aways or self catering options.
