As Parents we understand the concern you feel for your child traveling away from home and therefore we have made every effort to ensure the safety and comfort of the students from the day they depart until the day they return. We know that keeping in contact is important so we have allocated time in the calendar for keeping touch, and have equipment available for kids to be in contact via email, instant messaging or phone. Of course if needed, you can contact us directly on our 24 hour hotline.
Our Students come from many different countries, and all races and religions are very welcome. We make sure our camps provide a very personalized experience and so we only have a maximum of 30 people on each camp. English is the common medium of all communication, in the classroom as well as on excursions and all activities. Friendship, respect and understanding grow between young people from the different countries and cultures. We try to make sure that we maintain a balance in every camp between the students from different countries and cultures to create a diverse mix in all activities. All of this ensures that English is the medium of communication on the course but with all the advantages of a closely supervised residential program.
We encourage students to remain in contact with each other and with our overall program after completion, and because we have such a range of camps in different countries it provides an opportunity for students to re-attend, learning about different aspects of culture and science. We also made sure that there are camps and tours for all different ages through Kidzspeak, Gradspeak and Bizspeak, so that there are programs always available as students mature and develop.
Our Teachers and Staff are carefully recruited for their experience in their chosen field of English language or Environmental Science, with many having qualifications in both disciplines. However, we also make sure that they are naturally warm and responsive, delivering their teachings with enthusiasm and care to ensure the maximum benefit to each student. Greenspeak make sure that the ratio between staff and students is amongst best practice, which is at least one staff member for every eight students, so that there is individual attention.
Each host country is managed by a senior professional manager, capable of dealing with the logistics of multiple camps, manages all staff and ensures superior quality in delivery. We also have a Head of Local Curriculum to make sure that our content takes full advantage of the specific camp environments. Each individual camp has a qualified Camp Supervisor (who is also the Camp Head of Teaching), multiple qualified ESL teachers, as well as environmental guides. All our staff have first aid certificates.
Lastly, we make sure that all staff attend detailed pre- and post- camp briefings so we can continually review and improve the quality of each camp and tailor it to the specific needs of the camps attendees.
